NAIROBI, Kenya Jun 21 – Judges at the Court of Appeal will on Monday elect a new President of the Court, following the end of Justice Daniel Musinga’s term last month.
The election follows the expiry of the term of former President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Daniel Musinga, whose tenure ended on May 24, 2026.

According to a statement from the Judiciary, the election will be conducted through a secret ballot, with the process being overseen by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
Four seasoned jurists are in the race; they include Justice Gatembu Kairu, Justice Patrick Kiage, Lady Justice Agnes Murgor, and Lady Justice Lydia Achode.
