All roads led to Karen Country Club for the 2026 iteration of Magical Kenya Open, Kenya’s premier golfing tournament. Held from February 19–22, the event evolved into a premier “sport and lifestyle” event, blending world-class golf with high-end fashion and a vibrant social scene.
The Absa Pavilion, particularly, was the epicenter of the tournament’s high-fashion scene, characterized by what attendees and style afcianados described as “undefeated drip” and “pure main character energy”.
Overall, attendees embraced a “magical” and polished aesthetic, characterized by a mix of functional golf attire and bold African elegance. The style heavily borrowed from elements of Afro-chic and understated elegance, with spectators encouraged to wear magical outfits that balanced comfort for walking the course with high-fashion appeal for social spaces.
Popular choices included light, airy fabrics like linen and cotton to handle the sunny Nairobi weather, with men inclining toward Black & Gold Casual themes and stylish golf-inspired polos, while the women donned sundresses, classy Kaftans, and versatile two-piece sets.

A major fashion centerpiece was the Ochre-Red winner’s jacket, designed by Monica Kanari of Occasions ‘n Days. This tradition, supported by Absa since 2018, remains the ultimate style symbol of the tournament.
Entertainment Village
Sponsored by Johnnie Walker, the village featured a “Parte After Parte” atmosphere with headline performances from major Kenyan stars like Nyashinski and Njerae.
