Various political and security developments have been witnessed around the country as Kenya’s political atmosphere heats up ahead of the 2027 General Election.
David Maraga, the presidential candidate of the United Green Movement, has urged the youth to participate actively in the democratic process by obtaining national IDs and registering as voters.

During a public gathering, Maraga voiced his worry that the rampant corruption and embezzlement of public funds have been turning the citizens away from their leaders and frustrating service delivery, hence the corrupt practices must be stopped.

On the other hand, the youth section affiliated with the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has blamed the leaders of the party for their failure and alleged them of working against the party by resisting the ongoing talks with the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

The group led by Kasmuel Mcoure, stated that they are in support of the talks and had full confidence that President William Ruto is going to act on the 10-point agenda that had led to the formation of the broad-based government. They pointed out that the discussions were necessary for political stability and solving the major national issues.
